Step 3

Assessment and Letter of Offer

SMEI staff will then arrange a pre-test for you to assess your English ability. This may involve an interview. This test will help us determine which level you should be placed in.

Next, you will receive either a Letter of Offer (sometimes with conditions), or a letter declining your application. In either outcome we will contact you.

Step 4

Accept our offer
DOMESTIC AND ONSHORE STUDENTS

Once you have been sent an offer, you have two weeks to accept and pay the first instalment of fees. This can be done online or via email.

You must complete the Letter of Offer and Student Agreement and sign it.

Fees to pay include:
  • Enrolment fee (non-refundable)
  • First instalment of tuition fees, and
  • Materials and any other fees as applicable

A confirmation of placement will be emailed back to you.

OFFSHORE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Once you have been sent an offer, you have two weeks to accept and pay the first year’s fees in full. This payment is a pre-requisite to the issuing of a Visa.

Refer to the ‘Special conditions of the offer’ to find out if you have any conditions. If you do, you must provide the conditional documents before accepting your offer.

You must complete the Letter of Offer and Student Agreement and sign it.

Return forms to:
  • Your agent, if you applied through an agent or
  • Email to the Admissions and Marketing department at [email protected] if you applied directly.

A confirmation of placement will be emailed back to you. At this point, you should apply for a Student Visa.
